Music and Shopping at the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2010

During the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) it will not only be shoppers who will be treated to something they love. In the 32 days of festivities music lovers will also have the chance to see some fantastic performances by the likes of Nickelback and Status Quo, who will both be playing at Dubai Festival City on the 5th and 6th of February respectively, as part of the Gulf Bike Festival. Another highly anticipated event during the DSF will be the Dubai Jazz Festival, where spectators can listen in to the works of favourites such as James Morrison, David Grey and the Brand New Heavies.

The Gulf Bike Festival runs from 4 - 6 February 2010 and is part of the 5th Annual Dubai Bike Week and has a track record of pulling in the crowds attracting over 19,000 visitors per day from all over the GCC states, neighbouring countries and is firmly established as the leading festival within the region. Nickelback are one of the most successful Canadian rock bands, consisting of members Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger, Ryan Peake, and Daniel Adair. The band will fly in to Dubai to headline the Gulf Bike Festival in Dubai Festival City on 5th February, fresh on the tails of their Dark Horse European Tour. The English rock band Status Quo will also appear on the 6th of February. The band have recorded over 60 chart hits in the UK, over a period of the last 40 years, more than any other rock group in history. Royalty, VIPs as well as international celebrities from the Bike World are amongst the thousands of visitors drawn to the show. When you visit why not ditch the hotel and try rent a serviced apartment in Dubai. If you do choose to rent a self-catering apartment in Dubai you’ll be comfortable in the freedom and space of your own private home on holiday in Dubai.

The Dubai Jazz Festival, which is in its 7th year, will run from the 10th – 16th of February during the Dubai Shopping Festival. There will be many live concerts by famous acts like David Grey and James Morrison at the open air venue in Dubai Media City. The Jazz Garden will feature performances from established acts such as the winner of the 2007 Hamburger Jazz Prize, Gabriel Coburger and The Lutz Buechner Quartet.
